My Dream Job

Choosing the best job for us is an important decision in our lives. Think that you are going to be doing it for almost 40 years and this is HALF OF YOUR LIFE!! So, it is a good idea to take your time and think about it. Maybe these tips can help you:

• If you don't love your job, you won't be good enough for it.
• If you don't enjoy your job, your life will be miserable
• Sometimes money talks, but it's not the most important thing in life
• We work for a living, we don't live for working
• Even if you like it, working is a divine punishment (enjoy your free time too)

Body idioms

An idiom is a a group of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words. That means that sometimes it is not easy for us, as learners, to know what they mean exactly. Some other times idioms may lead to funny situations if we take the literal meaning as the real one.

Learning idioms is very useful, we just need to be creative to make the task a bit easier.

1. Choose a body idiom and draw a picture containing the literal meaning to explain the figurative meaning, as you can see in the examples above. 
2. Upload your image to your blog to help your classmates to learn it.

The Future is in your hands

Believe it or not, the future is in your hands. Maybe you can't read it is up to you to enjoy a brilliant future. But, meanwhile, enjoy your present and have a funny moment with your friends trying palmisry. 

Palmistry, also called chiromancy, is the reading of character and the future by interpretation of lines and undulations on the palm of the hand. The origins of palmistry are uncertain. It may have begun in ancient India and spread from there. It was probably from their original Indian home that the traditional fortune telling of the Gypsies was derived. 

Palmistry has been known in China, Tibet, Persia, Mesopotamia, and Egypt, and it underwent significant development in ancient Greece. 

Although there is no scientific support, the human hand does show evidence of the person’s health, cleanliness, and occupational and nervous habits (e.g., as evidenced by calluses or nail-biting). Hands are routinely examined in medical diagnosis and provide clues with which the palmist may often astound the unsophisticated.

Following with the topic of New Year's Resolutions I have to confess that I have my own resolutions for this 2019 (some of which you can find in the top 10 of New Year's Resolutions, I am not very imaginative I guess). But, above all, I hope to be in that 12% of people who keep them... I CAN DO IT!!
