Body idioms

An idiom is a a group of words established by usage as having a meaning not deducible from those of the individual words. That means that sometimes it is not easy for us, as learners, to know what they mean exactly. Some other times idioms may lead to funny situations if we take the literal meaning as the real one.

Learning idioms is very useful, we just need to be creative to make the task a bit easier.



  1. Choose a body idiom and draw a picture containing the literal meaning to explain the figurative meaning, as you can see in the examples above. 
  2. Upload your image to your blog to help your classmates to learn it. 
  3. Comment on a classmate blog
